Sunday at home

I’ve filled all the feeders and sprinkled salt everywhere I could sprinkle salt, hoping to melt the underlying boilerplate while the sun is out and the temps are up.

Won’t finish it all in this sitting but I’ve spent a couple hours scanning photos and sample bits of very long-ago quilts. What a walk down memory lane indeed. I was sort of puzzled looking at photos on the computer – how come there are not quilts prior to 1998? LOL well friends welcome to the pre-digital world.

I had a moment of panic wondering where all those quilts had gone but one night last week went into the sewing room, moved a BIG container of workshop bits and BLAM – there were the two binders I remembered. Each archival sleeve has drawings, bits of fabric, a documentation sheet and whatever else would reasonably fit, along with a photo or two of that quilt. Phew. Saved by a momentary spasm of organization. I’m up to about 1990 at the start of the second binder, which is apparently when I joined Q.U.I.L.T.S. in Schenectady.
