NaPoWriMo Day Seventeen Haiku Day

Happy International Haiku Day!

Determined flying
Beaks slice frothy morning clouds
Springward northward bound

Faceted glinting
Restless metamorphosis
Springs up, vanishes.

Out of night’s quiet
And still, sleepy murmuring
The first bird’s clear note.
