About

Mary Beth Frezon

A machine quilter,
Herder of cats, love fruitcake,
Upstate New Yorker.
(alternative ending: Writer of Haiku)

Yes, I’m a quilter (former quilt-show-bureaucrat, two-time Quilt National exhibitor, quilter since the early 1980’s – see some of my quilts in the tab above). I’m also a writer, I take a lot of photos and lately I’ve been dabbling in watercolor. Some would call me a techie or a geek, maybe a gamer (not so much lately). All of those things plus some fruitcake and cats – what’s not to like?!

This blog has been around since 2001, moved once from Blogger to WordPress. Feel free to browse through the archives and leave comments if you enjoy something or have an opinion to share. Comments are moderated but approved quickly. I am a big fan of community and interaction via the web so participate in websites you visit – leave comments, share links on your own site or via social media, be a mensch.

The Quick Tour

You’ll find links to my quilts, painting, writing, travels, links I follow and the cat cam across the top of the page. The side bar has a random quote from the voluminous quote box, the most recent cat cam image, ways to search by words, category or date, a total word count (because I’m a compulsive counter of words and quilt blocks), quick links to select categories and a randomized photo.

But mainly it’s a blog that reflects what I do, what I find interesting and is the closest thing to a journal I’ve ever had. Enjoy and welcome!
