NaPoWriMo 2019 – Day Twenty-Three

After a day – and I mean a full working kind of day – drawing people at the mall:

Today I drew page after page
of people, many many people
walking, sitting, talking
leaning, holding hands people.
I drew them to find out
what do they look like
when they move and stand?
how do their parts fit together?
what makes them interesting
and different and yet the same?
I want to show my world
and while it’s often views
of hills and trees
It must have people in it,
And I’m in it too.

I have pages like that in my sketch book form years and years ago. I wonder what they’d look like if I sketched people today.

  3. I love the bottom line: it’s important that people are and that we are. Lovely. Thank you!
